Renaissance Faires and Festivals
The Duke, with "entourage," approaches the King and Queen at Riverssance
In addition to educational settings, the House Of Sydney performs at faires throughout the Midwest.
Street Theater

Lieutenant Sir Robert Townsend being "animated," much to the amusement of onlookers
The House of Sydney frequently interacts with patrons (especially their children!), vendors, and other performers, adding to the overall atmosphere of a festival. When not performing on-stage, we are often found exploring the festival grounds in a proper courtly procession.
Knighting Ceremony
A historically-accurate, ceremonial event where the Duke of Belmond grants knighthood to young men in the audience. We discuss the history of knighthood, as well as the duties, responsibilities, and honor carried by a Renaissance knight. The ceremony is complete with a vow of knighthood, and being safely touched by the Duke's sword. Audience members will carry this memory forever!
Ladies-in-Waiting Ceremony
A ceremony allowing young ladies in the audience to become members of a noblewoman's inner circle, and earn a place in a noble court. The ladies of the house explain the lives of a lady-in-waiting, and brings young ladies up, one by one, to bestow the honor upon them. An unforgettable event for any child!
